Pop would come over our house all the time. On the way home from school we would know he was over when we could hear the TV from halfway down the block. Then he would fall asleep, but wake up anytime you tried changing the channel. He gave me history lessons full of facts. Showed me all the places him and Hellen used to neck. Gave me driving lessons on watching for cats under cars so I never hit any. He taught me how to read the paper, and write a check and address an envelope. He would take me to sports stores to work out on their exercise equipment. He took me to so many dentist appts and never came in but was always back in time. We had a Wendy's date every Wednesday after Irish dance for 5 years and he'd share his baked potato with me. He would pick me and my friends up from school for burger King lunch. I went to Dunkin donuts with him more times than I can count. He knew everyone when we walked around, and talked to everyone like they were family. He always held the door for everyone and called every older woman young lady. Then winked at me and told me how nice he was for making them feel young again. He could never hear the server so he wouldn't know they were there and then we'd be trying to interrupt his story but he'd ignore us until he realized they were trying to take our order, then he'd apologize profusely. He loved IHOP. And olive garden. We went to Friendly's a lot when we were little too! He took me to the dollar store to pick out 10 things all the time and once I got older he loved talking about the time I asked for 12 things and gmom told me no and I told him not to bring her anymore. He loved giving me exercise lessons, and lessons on getting ppl to leave me alone, he told me to always pay attention to my surroundings and would tell me about him parking when he saw women carrying groceries home so he could help them. Pop loved sending me clippings from the paper: word searches, sudoku, anything about Penn state, anything he thought I should know. He showed me how to stay occupied at his house by linking paper clips, and playing with his magnifying glass, but I wasn't allowed to touch his rubberband ball. I remember grandmom getting scared when a cat was in her house because they didn't own any but pop fed all the neighborhood cats and occasionally snuck some in. He always complimented women with big broad shoulders and asked if they were German. Pop would sit around while grandmom stood by the door telling him to let's go and then she would start saying Jerry in a tone we could probably all mimick. He called grandmom Winnie the witch or Hellen, never Mary to me. He loved warning me about Herman the German (explaining unideal traits in a future husband). Also the name of the stone cold Steve Austin he kept on his radio knob in his truck that he found in the bed of his truck once while it was snowing. Pop was the best. He had a huge influence on who I am today. I love him so dearly.

Uncle Gerry was a gentle giant with a heart of gold. One of my fondest memories is how he could make you belly laugh with his jokes and stories. We loved him dearly and he will be so missed by all. With sincere heartfelt sympathy to my Aunt Mary, cousins and their grandchildren. We love you! Debi & Dick Kreamer

My deepest condolences to the Mulderig family. I will always remember Mr Mulderig as a great Dad and dedicated baseball coach to many kids growing up in Olney. If Olney had a Hall of Fame I’m quite confident that Mr Mulderig would be a member. RIP my friend.
