Obituary of Matthew J. Edgar

Edgar, Matthew J passed May 19th, 2022, devoted brother of John (Patti), the late William, Thomas (Jacki), Joseph (Linda), Mary Hricko (Mike), Kathleen Vaughan and Barbara Dever (Pat). Long time partner of Karen Murphy. Son of the late John and Mary Edgar. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Matt was a proud graduate of the North Catholic High School Class of 79’. He was a long-time member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 87 and a dedicated member of the Green Legion. Matt was a long-time employee of Campbell Soup Company. Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life, Wednesday, June 1st, 2022, visitation will be from 10:00 AM-Noon at Reilly-Rakowski Funeral Home, 2632 E. Allegheny Ave, Phila, PA 19134. Please feel free to come dressed in your favorite Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Eagles or Norte Dame attire to honor Matt’s love for his favorite teams.
