After surviving both World War II and Soviet occupation of Poland, she imigrated to America in
1970 with her husband and four children. Zofia was a very talented woman. She was an expert
seamstress, phenomenal cook and baker, was involved in the local Polish community, and was a

Polish heritage. She was a veteran participant in the 100 mile Catholic pilgrimage from Great

family. Most importantly, she was a woman of great faith and dedicated her life to caring and
loving others above herself. She bore witness to her faith on a daily basis and exemplified the
meaning of “self-less love”.
