Obituary of Anne C. Bracchi

Bracchi, Anne (nee Meehan), of Spruce Creek, FL, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on June 11th, 2021 with her family by her side after a heroic battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Peter Jr., as well as her three sons Peter III (Erin), Michael (Jennifer), Matthew (Erica), brother James P. Meehan (Jean), and sister Helene Gutgesell (Edward). Anne was the treasured Nanny to her grandchildren Emma, Matthew Jr., Luke, and Christian. Anne was the beloved daughter of the late Clement T. and Helen (nee McManus) Meehan. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Clement T. (Clem) Meehan Jr., Francis X. (Fred) Meehan, as well as her sister Rosellen Tomczak (nee Meehan). Anne was a proud graduate of John W. Hallahan High School (class of 1968) in Philadelphia. In her professional life, Anne was always found close to books and was happiest when she worked as a school librarian where she could convey her love of reading and learning. In her personal life, Anne was most happy spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren with whom she could always be found doing something silly. She will be greatly missed, not only by her family, but by her numerous cousins and all the friends she made over the years and those whom she impacted in education. A visitation will be held by her family on the evening of July 14th, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Reilly-Rakowski Funeral Home, 2632-34 E Allegheny Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19134. A Catholic memorial service will be held at Nativity BVM Church, 2535 E. Allegheny Avenue, Philadelphia PA on July 15th, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. Burial services will be private at the request of the family.
