Obituary of Robert J. Jablonowski

J A B L O N O W S K I Robert J. on July 3, 2020. Loving Dad of Jessica Robinson (Don), Vincent and Nicholas. Devoted son of Bronislawa (nee Sek) and the late Kazimierz Jablonowski. Loving, protective brother of Yolanda Carrozza (Christopher). Uncle of Alexandra, Benjamin, Christian and Danielle. Loving and fun Grandpop of Sam and Anna. Robert was known as Bob or Bobby to his family or friends. To his Brothers in Blue, he was best known as "Jabo". Bob was a proud Philadelphia Police Officer. He started his career as a Patrol Officer in the 35th District and after four years continued his career at the 2nd District where he eventually became a Victim Assistance Officer. Bob was great with people and loved to help others. He was the perfect fit for VAO. However, a move to Arizona with his family in 2005 necessitated him to retire from the Philadelphia Police Force and leave the Brotherhood he loved so much. His career path took him to Arizona State Hospital where he made many wonderful friendships and eventually back to Philadelphia where he worked for St. Joseph's University as a Security Officer. Bob had an infectious laugh, a big personality and an even bigger voice. He loved to crack jokes. He always made you feel like you were the most important person and loved to help you. Much to his Eagles friends' chagrin, Bob was a stalwart Cowboys fans, an avid comic book collector, music lover, concert-goer, sports fanatic and a tremendous artist. The next time you hear a Chris Cornell song, recall your happy moments with and memories of Bob. He will be missed immensely. Relatives, friends and his Brothers in Blue are invited to his visitation Friday July 10th 9:30 AM at St. Adalbert Church, 2645 E. Allegheny Ave. Phila., PA 19134. Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Private interment Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery.
